Title: [Solved] Port for incomming connection not open
Post by: pav on May 24, 2017, 04:13:54 AM
The wallet will not sync. I'm able to import blockchain, but the last two days are not syncing. Could be related to Imotheb post on OKcoin forum...

add some nodes to the .conf file of that currency, make sure it has connections ;)
you can get some nodes from their explorer or forums.

OKtoshi, firstly I'm not sure port 8333 is the problem at first place. Reading from your link (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/43981/allowing-incoming-connection-on-bitcoin-core) and checking the on [ur=https://bitnodes.21.co/#join-the-networkl]bitnode [/url] the port shows closed. I've done port forward on my router to my PI like  this   (http://imgur.com/a/HMiLc)

OKheymos , I've inserted a list of nodes from  here (large inferno)  (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tx/#!network). How does it work - what if they change or some of them are not there later? Do I need to keep updating the list?

That was an example with Bitcoin, you need to know your currency port or set it up on their .conf file.
I think you are trying for transfercoin, hence should go check their ports and info, the example I provided is for Bitcoin, but same basics apply.
