Title: Transferring funds from Coinomi - help greatly appreciated!
Post by: vrowdy on November 10, 2020, 05:37:05 AM
Hello all,

I use Coinomi, a multi-coin wallet.
They, however, dropped support for OKCash rather abruptly.
Now, I need to export the private keys of my OKCash wallet and import them into the official OKCash application.

There support site is quite thorough and details the steps I need to obtain my privatekey and import in the OKCash application. There is, however, of course a problem.

Below you'll find my message to Coinomi support and their answer.
I hope someone here is able to help!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-------Answer from Coinomi----------
Hi Rowdy,

It appears that the website https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ isn't generating valid private keys for OKCash. Please contact the OKCash team so they themselves can submit a correction to the page (it's an open source page, anyone can submit corrections). Once the fix is accepted you will he able to import the key normally into the wallet.

Kind Regards,
Coinomi Support

Hello,

I'm hoping you can help me with my problem...
I had some OKCash in Coinomi and found out too late it was being delisted.
I followed to steps detailed on your excellent help page, and used https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ to get the private keys.

On that page, i entered my BIP39 Mnemonic, selected OKCash and scrolled down to 'Derived Addresses'. I installed the official OKCash Wallet and went to the console and entered importprivkey #privatekey#
But no matter which private key I enter, I always get 'invalid private key code -5'.
I tried the key with and without double quotes (because it says to use qoutes in the OKCash manual), but to no avail.
I also tried the account extended private key, the BIP32 extended private key, some other private keys from the table, but I always get the same error.

Can you please help me get my funds back?

Thanks!

Exactly this for me as well.

ive been holding for awhile, happen to check a few weeks back and it was delisted.   first try it gave error.
I thought it was that the wallet wasnt fully synced up.   Finally got it sync'd (and a few days of me forgetting to bring that device home...)

    same error.

     any assist?   Thanks!

The OK dev team is aware of this issue and releasing a new wallet that will help users regain access to their OK coins.
Last I hear is this new release brings a lot of updates with it and should be ready by today or tomorrow.

You can import your 24 mnemonic phrase you had on coinomi directly to the "Import HD wallet" section of the new Okcash wallet 6.9

HELP!!! :-[  :-[  :-[

Hello, I have tried to restore my balance from the coinomi wallet to the official OkCash wallet with the mnemonic codes, as indicated by you but it is not possible to see my funds in the OkCash wallet.

My funds appear in the OkCash blockchain since I have verified it but it is impossible for me to reestablish access to them through the OkCash wallet and from the Coinomi wallet it is no longer possible to make a transfer of funds because they stopped supporting the cryptocurrency by OkCash.

I would be grateful for your help to get my funds back and start staking.

AYUDA!!! :-[  :-[  :-[  :-[

How to import your coinomi account to your Okcash wallet:

1.- Get your mnemonic phrase from coinomi (you can get it from okcash wallet account settings at coinomi)
2.- Unlock your OK wallet and go to OK Tools > Import an HD Wallet
3.- Paste your recovery phrase where is required and uncheck the "bip44" check mark
4.- Click next and finish the import.
5.- After done, go to the OK console and type: scanforalltxns 1
6.- Let it finish and you should be able to see your coinomi coins in your OK wallet.

(If after this steps you are still not able to see them, make sure you have your new account selected as main/default and it is activated at: OK Tools > Advanced HD config)
