Discord is known for gamers and various other community, including different cryptocurrency communities. We talk, we share our thoughts we build projects and make our crypto better. Discord is also known for the many "Bots" on their platform for all sort of things, from welcoming new comers in a server and giveaway money through tips and more.
On the OK BTC -- Cryptocurrency server, we have a bot that has been rocking it recently. Created by Gapjusting, OKBets is the most used bot on the server. It allows you to use the bot and server to stake your OKCash in its staking pool, gamble, invest your OK in the house bankroll, trade your OK with the OKmarket and more. OKBets doesn't stop with OKCash though. Recently, the creator of OKBets has added Bitcoin to bot. That way, you can deposit Bitcoin and use them for various things. You can buy OK from the OKmarket, tip other members, gamble your BTC and invest your BTC in the house bankroll.
The gambling system is provably fair with a channel to show the hash result and is a 49.5-50.5 chance of winning. While you invest your BTC and OK in the house bankroll, as stated earlier, you can win more BTC or OK, but where you can win something you can also lose something so be careful and use at your own risk. When someone bet, and win the bet, the currency that has been betted is taken away from the bankroll and the investment everyone putted in is split evenly.
What's for OK, when you invest, you are also staking at 0% fee, which can be a benefit if you don't lose anything from people winning bets. When you stake your OK on the bot, you accept a 1% fee, except for investors.
The OKmarket is a trading platform within OKBets that allows everyone to sell their OK for Bitcoin or buy their OK with Bitcoin at any price they want. To sell OK on the BTC/OK market, you need OK in your balance and then you can use the command to sell your OK at a fixed BTC price in satoshi. If you don't want to sell your OK for some reason, you can cancel your order(s) at any time... Unless someone already bought your coins. The market also allows you to buy OK with the BTC you have in your balance, and like with OK, if you don't want to sell your BTC for OK, anymore or change your BTC/OK buy value, you can cancel it, and put another buy order.
If you are new to OKCash, it's a good time to visit our discord server and have some fun with Okcash and Bitcoin bots and trade some OK at the same occasion 😉.
This is the Canadian OK Embassy and I encourage everyone that wants to take the time and commitment to have their own Embassy to do so for their Country.
Every OK Embassy can be different and if you make it in your own language, it's even better! Having an embassy with different languages will increase the awareness and will be easier for foreign people that doesn't speak English or barely, to have the information in their language.
If you don't wish to add trading OK with your Local Fiat currency, you don't need to have the trading pages.
I normally would not ask directly for funds from the community, but there is an exciting oportunity for OKCash as a community.
In April 2017, there's an event called the CoinFest that will be made in UK. The CoinFestUK is an event made to rise awareness on different cryptocurrencies, about their projects and goals, and Okcash is invited to be part in the event and have its own conference time to present the project to the attendees.
The event is scheduled for April 7th and 8th. I feel honored that the community and leaders have appointed me to assist in OK representation. My presence there will allow the OKCash community to have a spoke person to explain what we do and answer some questions that people visiting the event might have about what we do or in a more general way, know what OKCash is all about and why we are the future of cash along with Bitcoin. ROKOS OK Bitcoin Fullnode OS will have an own stand as well with some OK and ROKOS information materials, I will be helping with the ROKOS stand by answering questions and will also have some paper wallets giveaways for the assistants.
As discussed with the event organiser Adam Rizvi, I will be talking for approximately 30 minutes, just like a Ted Talk show if you are familiar with them, Will talk about OKCash, the vision we share, what's behind it and what we are currently doing.
However, for me to be able to do so, need the support of the community if we want to participate in the event and give Okcash it deserved exposure, as I lack of funds for the trip myself.
The logistics to attend to the event will involve a plane ticket from Canada to Manchester's airport, 2-3 nights in a motel/hotel/B&B or similar, food for the 3-4 days that I will spend there and transport.
As of right now, with the research I've made to plan the trip, we would require to gather a fund of 1.5 BTC that will be needed to cover all costs for the trip to attend the event.
Keep in mind that this is not a "vacation trip" but more a "community/work trip" to talk about the Okcash community and project, increase its reach, adoption and help rise awareness about it.
To help me rise the funds and support our community have a strong presence at the event,
Since 2014, the OkCash community has grown a lot. It grew in users and contributors/core members. With that being said, OK wants its community to know more about what is going on behind the desk.
