Projects Development / OKBets, The OK-BTC smart bot

Medium Article:

OKBets, The OK-BTC smart bot

Discord is known for gamers and various other community, including different cryptocurrency communities. We talk, we share our thoughts we build projects and make our crypto better.
Discord is also known for the many "Bots" on their platform for all sort of things, from welcoming new comers in a server and giveaway money through tips and more.

On the OK BTC -- Cryptocurrency server, we have a bot that has been rocking it recently. Created by Gapjusting, OKBets is the most used bot on the server.
It allows you to use the bot and server to stake your OKCash in its staking pool, gamble, invest your OK in the house bankroll, trade your OK with the OKmarket and more.
OKBets doesn't stop with OKCash though. Recently, the creator of OKBets has added Bitcoin to bot.
That way, you can deposit Bitcoin and use them for various things. You can buy OK from the OKmarket, tip other members, gamble your BTC and invest your BTC in the house bankroll.

The gambling system is provably fair with a channel to show the hash result and is a 49.5-50.5 chance of winning.
While you invest your BTC and OK in the house bankroll, as stated earlier, you can win more BTC or OK, but where you can win something you can also lose something so be careful and use at your own risk.
When someone bet, and win the bet, the currency that has been betted is taken away from the bankroll and the investment everyone putted in is split evenly.

What's for OK, when you invest, you are also staking at 0% fee, which can be a benefit if you don't lose anything from people winning bets.
When you stake your OK on the bot, you accept a 1% fee, except for investors.

The OKmarket is a trading platform within OKBets that allows everyone to sell their OK for Bitcoin or buy their OK with Bitcoin at any price they want.
To sell OK on the BTC/OK market, you need OK in your balance and then you can use the command to sell your OK at a fixed BTC price in satoshi.
If you don't want to sell your OK for some reason, you can cancel your order(s) at any time... Unless someone already bought your coins.
The market also allows you to buy OK with the BTC you have in your balance, and like with OK, if you don't want to sell your BTC for OK, anymore or change your BTC/OK buy value, you can cancel it, and put another buy order.

If you are new to OKCash, it's a good time to visit our discord server and
have some fun with Okcash and Bitcoin bots and trade some OK at the same occasion 😉.

New Trading Point and Information Center... The OKCash Embassy!! (Canada)

I'm pleased to announce that the very first OKCash Embassy website has been created for the community.

The OKCash Embassy offers multiple services.

  • We provide information about, what is OKCash, how to start and were to get some.

  • We can inform you about public ongoing projects and where to meet the community behind them

  • The Canadian Embassy, also provides a peer-to-peer trading point

First OKCash Embassy is officially public!! (Canada)

I'm pleased to announce that the very first OKCash Embassy website has been created for the community.

This is the Canadian OK Embassy and I encourage everyone that wants to take the time and commitment
to have their own Embassy to do so for their Country.

Every OK Embassy can be different and if you make it in your own language, it's even better! Having an embassy
with different languages will increase the awareness and will be easier for foreign people that doesn't speak English
or barely, to have the information in their language.

If you don't wish to add trading OK with your Local Fiat currency, you don't need to have the trading pages.

Greetings everyone!

I normally would not ask directly for funds from the
community, but there is an exciting oportunity for OKCash
as a community.

In April 2017, there's an event called the CoinFest
that will be made in UK. The CoinFestUK is an event
made to rise awareness on different cryptocurrencies,
about their projects and goals, and Okcash is invited to
be part in the event and have its own conference time
to present the project to the attendees.

The event is scheduled for April 7th and 8th. I feel honored that
the community and leaders have appointed me to assist in OK representation.
My presence there will allow the OKCash community to have
a spoke person to explain what we do and answer some
questions that people visiting the event might have
about what we do or in a more general way, know what
OKCash is all about and why we are the future of cash
along with Bitcoin. ROKOS OK Bitcoin Fullnode OS will have
an own stand as well with some OK and ROKOS information materials,
I will be helping with the ROKOS stand by answering questions and
will also have some paper wallets giveaways for the assistants.

As discussed with the event organiser Adam Rizvi,
I will be talking for approximately 30 minutes, just
like a Ted Talk show if you are familiar with them,
Will talk about OKCash, the vision we share,
what's behind it and what we are currently doing.

However, for me to be able to do so, need the support of
the community if we want to participate in the event and give
Okcash it deserved exposure, as I lack of
funds for the trip myself.

The logistics to attend to the event will involve
a plane ticket from Canada to Manchester's airport,
2-3 nights in a motel/hotel/B&B or similar,
food for the 3-4 days that I will spend there and transport.

As of right now, with the research I've made to plan the trip,
we would require to gather a fund of 1.5 BTC that
will be needed to cover all costs for the trip to attend the event.

Keep in mind that this is not a "vacation trip" but more a "community/work trip"
to talk about the Okcash community and project, increase its reach, adoption
and help rise awareness about it.

To help me rise the funds and support our community have a strong presence at the event,

OK DYOR Community Dev Updates

December 5

Since 2014, the OkCash community has grown a lot. It grew in users and contributors/core members. With that being said, OK wants its community to know more about what is going on behind the desk. Our monthly news will include new projects, new updates, update on our tutorials and pretty much everything regarding our coin evolution.
This might be our first monthly article, but it's far from being the very first article about OkCash made by its team. You can read the articles on medium at OkcashNews. These articles reflect the spirit of OkCash, the potential and what it really is and an easy way to understand it. There's also a Christmas article about Bitcoin and OkCash up on medium, which talks about how cryptocurrencies can be a good Christmas gift for your friends and loved ones.

November has been a busy month. With the release of the ROKOS v7 Core that has been made on the 31st of October. You can read about what ROKOS is here. The wallet was also only available for Ubuntu 14, but Oktoshi worked hard to make it available for Ubuntu 16 as well. There was also a new wallet version released ( With all these updates and with ROKOS v7 released, new tutorials have been recorded and typed to help everyone that encounters any problem with installer or compiling and building their wallets on windows, Ubuntu 14 and 16. Textual tutorials have also been made for ROKOS. Every tutorial can be found in our newly created OK Tutorials Library. Thanks to shbour for making the tutorials. French tutorials are on their way, along with Portuguese tutorials.

Demartini, one of our devs, created an Okcash Price Ticker for chrome. You can set which exchange you want it to look at. Have easy access to the block explorer, OK website and many more options. You have download and read about the Okcash Price Ticker here. Talking about OkCash website, oktoshi has set up a new website backup mirror for and there was a design update on our forum website at Also, an easy place to follow all halving date and approximate time of okcash has been created at One of our dev/tech, greenbigfrog, have updated all the AUR packages and desktop files for the new okcash wallet and updates that have been made recently. There's also a simple GitHub tutorial on how to call OkCash's API using PHP, that was made by Oktoshi.

OkCash has been officially funded to be added to the Noble mobile wallet, make sure to update your Noble wallet to be the first ones to be able to have their OK on Noble. OK also made a video about OkCash to explain how useful it can be for businesses, how to accept OkCash and the benefits for everyday people. OK have been added to BTCpop exchange, which also allows you to stake your OK on their platform, so that you don't have to run your own wallet at home, as well as trading and other things you can learn about over there. To help spread the word and to the world the OK message, the very first OK flyer has been created by @rnz. It is small, colorful and can easily catch your eye.
OK would also like to welcome and introduce you to our new head of "Free energy research department". Kultus is a great man that has been studying many ways to make free electricity. His main project is the Atmo motor (Atmospheric motor), which consists of harvesting the electricity that is in the air 24/7 to run itself on. You can read more about his research here.

Our 2nd birthday, which happened on the 25th of November, that was announced on thunderclap was a great success. With more than 110 people that signed in and more than 650,000 people reached. During that event, our discord channel was flooded with activity. We met new interesting people and had a great time. There was an approximate 18,000 OK that was soaked and rained throughout the day. To celebrate our birthday, Bitcoindood had an interview with Oktoshi on a few things involving OkCash including side projects and some bits of future projects. I recommend you to have a look at it. OkCash has also been added to the revex cryptocurrency and exchange review website. You can have a look at our review and read a few feedbacks here.

The OK paper wallet has been officially released on the 6th of December 2016. All wallets can be found on the website Oktoshi has created exclusively for it. ROKOS Tutorials / Re: Auto Login
December 05, 2016, 07:11:16 am
What's for login in pi automatically, as far as I know you can only set that option when you fresh install an OS from scratch. Since ROKOS is already pre-installed I fear it's not possible, or Google is your friend.
What's for ROKOS checking if the BTC core is always running and reboot it, you'd need a script that looks at the task manager and keep track of the BTC core usage. Then again Google is your friend to find the script as I am not a programmer of any sort.
