LTSS PoS calcs to the Okcash Staking System.
LTSS original thread: http://okcashtalk.org/index.php/topic,16.0.html

Technical Sustainability:
In aims to improve the OK system security , sustainability and reliability, while at the same time respecting scarcity and the original PoS expected supply growth proposed in the V1 LTSS WP.

Okcash came up with a solution to empower the system and secure LTSS.
Bitcoin has LTPoW lasting till the year 2140. OK LTTS (staking) will be lasting till the year 2148.
Making Okcash the best PoS partner for Bitcoin and Micro Transactions.

Following the Original schedule of expected distribution proposed on the V1 LTSS WP, and based on the past performance of the OK Network / Users / Staking for the first 5 years of Okcash,
we have improved and refined the LTSS System by fixing the halving periods based on past performance and future expectation of the Staking Network Percentage in the system to match the original Proof of Stake expected growth.

Economics: 15planned halvings will help stabilize and secure the network and appreciation as they kick in.
This system proposes: 6 halvings with a 1 year period, 4 halvings with a 2 years period, and 5 halvings with a 10years + period.
This halvings have been fixed to a 33.33 % / 16 .66 % and 10 % expectancy of staking network based on past 5 years performance of the OK chain.
After the 15th halving OK gets a fixated % (after year 2070*), this will normalize the OK network, help secure the chain growth and improve the distribution with the participants of the network , giving Okcash a constant and long term growth with organic appreciation.

* 501,257 blocks per year average.

Last OK coins to be PoS mined expected between years 2148 - 2XXX depending on the % of Network Staking.

OK Cryptocurrency Blockchain [Instant Sync]

When you load the OK Wallet for the first time it connects to the peer-to-peer network and starts to synchronize the OK blockchain.

When to use the ok-blockchain to Sync your OK wallet

The first time sync of the OK blockchain can take quite a while; sometimes up to 24 hours depending on your hardware.

With OK you can speed up this process by loading compressed backups of the OK blockchain.

Adding the current ok-blockchain to your local okcash data directory speeds up the synchronization process which will get your wallet up and running in minutes.

How to use the ok-blockchain to sync your OK wallet

1.- Close the OK Wallet and download the latest ok-blockchain.zip file from:
https://github.com/okcashpro/ok-blockchain/releases

2.- Place the ok-blockchain.zip file in the Okcash data directory, location depends on your operating system.

3.- Unzip the ok-blockchain.zip file. (includes txleveldb folder + blk0001.dat files)

4.- Start your OK Wallet and give it some minutes to finish it's first time Sync process.
(The client might be unresponsive but don't worry - it's just loading and verifying all the ok-blockchain data)

Okcash data directory location on different Operating Systems

Linux and IoT devices:

~/.okcash/

MacOS:

~/Library/Application Support/Okcash/

Windows:

%APPDATA%\OKCash

(This defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\OKCash on Windows XP and to C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\OKCash on Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10.)

What are the Stake Rewards or Staking?
In easy Terms is the process where you keep your coins in your OK wallet and keep it open(online), your coins will start to "stake" (trying to solve blocks, like mining), meaning after some hours your wallet will start to mine for more coins according to the number of coins that you already have in your wallet, at different rates (% changes, like halvings ) and without the need for special equipment or high energy bills. You only need to keep the OKCash wallet running and some Coins in it to start earning more coins. (These nodes help maintain a decentralized, secure and fast network, hence why they get the rewards for trusting and supporting the network/project)

What is OKCash?

OKCash is a new Cryptocurrency that got released in November 2014. Since the start, OK has shown a unique interest in the end user and tried to make the coin accessible and easy to use for the community. The launch was a success and a lot of miners participated in the pools that were mining the coin.

The mining PoW process lasted 15 days without halving to make it fair for every miner no matter when they started with the coin. After these 15 days of mining, OKCash became a full Proof of Stake coin, fulfilling its goal of hybrid initial distribution. It started a new era in the cryptocurrency environment, where coins continue to be created and distributed via Proof of Stake, which is a more long-term sustainable system and much more energy friendly than Proof of work.

OKCash started a new tendency in the cryptocurrency world, by injecting a positive vibe into its design and code. A lot of new coins started to get created following these ideas and see OK as an example.

OKcash have been traded since Nov 2014 and the community continues to grow in all aspects, on social networks, in markets, in use, and with its in-house dedicated Devs, it's been building a solid decentralized infrastructure that's directly reflected in the coin's efficiency and speed, with presence in more than 42 countries. OKCash is one of a handful of coins that has not presented any issues with its blockchain, working perfectly since the day it was released.

The initial motivation behind OKCash was to create a really efficient and fast coin aiming to "improve things" or "make things better". After the success of getting added to the first exchanges, and with the community interaction and feedback, it was decided it was time for the coin to evolve and communicate the real philosophy behind its work. The community and environment itself were the driving forces behind this evolution, which is meant to provide end users "the community" with a cryptocurrency they can trust - with a name aimed for the mainstream - and with the following qualities: speed, efficiency and ease of use accompanied by a dedicated and personalized working design.

The "OK" name got selected to represent the brand as it reflects properly the coin's goals and attitude. OK is one of only 2 words in the whole world that requires no translation at all to be understood, giving it the potential for mainstream adoption without the problems of trying to integrate the new name to different cultures. "OK" is understood the whole world over.

OK reflects a positive outcome, speed, and empathy. Security and user experience are the first thoughts behind any update or code modification. The addition of the word "cash" was made to give it direct inclusion into the financial sector and to communicate the whole concept in a word: "OKCash".

Anybody who hears this word gets an overall concept or general idea of what it is about. OK is the technology while OKCash is the first application of this technology, being the coins we can send or put in our wallets for saving, spending or sharing.

OKCash has been referred to as "The future for Social Payments" and it has one of the strongest social presences in the cryptocurrency environment. You can actually send OKCash anywhere in the world by the easy use of the Discord and/or Twitter Tip bots. This makes it possible to send OK to anyone in the world, even if they have not yet installed and downloaded the OKCash wallet.

OKCash is also one of the few currencies that do not fight BTC. On the contrary, OK complements and supports Bitcoin and aims to create events around the world to teach people about cryptocurrencies such as BTC and OK: how they can get the advantages and how they differ from traditional fiat systems.

OK complements BTC, with its speed and Proof of Stake system OK works as a currency but also as an earning system. If you keep your wallet open, you gain a % of the coins you hold in your wallet as interest. This system incentivizes the network growth and security as well and is one of the key aspects of OK as it doesn't require special equipment. It is a more energy-friendly way to sustain the whole network, reducing the carbon footprint considerably against Proof of Work technology.

Since the start, OKCash has provided constant updates, a dedicated site for them and has delivered in time and form.

OK is the first cryptocurrency to hold cross-promotions between different cryptocurrency communities and everyone can visit and download the "ROKOS" project as well, a Raspberry Pi OS with full Bitcoin Graphical Client and node ready to plug and play, OK client/node ready for use, distributed for free by the OKCash Developers to support Crypto adoption and the integration of cryptocurrencies with the Internet of Things technology (IoT). Download ROKOS

The OK community continues to create giveaways for more crypto communities and constant contests with the addition of faucets and resources to give more users the chance to have fun and get to know, test and use OKCash (OK).

Final steps / BTC and OK Clients

a) Go to Menu > Blockchain and Click on the Bitcoin Wallet

This will open the Bitcoin wallet with the option to select where we will be saving the BTC chain.

*For BTC the initial sync will take some days, wallets are fully usable after being fully Synchronized.

b) Always remember to make constant backups of your wallets and save them in USB or external media.

Use your Bitcoin wallet to plug HW and mine BTC, Send/Receive Bitcoin,
become a full node and support the Bitcoin network, develop new applications,
etc, the limit is only in your imagination.

Important Security Notice:
*) Remember to create a backup for your Wallets, you can use the wallets to create them and save in different folders on a USB device.
You should ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet, Pine64+, Raspberry Pi and IoT Hardware, Debian and ROKOS Software are under development hence not responsible for missuses, electrical or compatibility issues that might cause a loss of information. It is as secure as one's ability to take care for it, same as a computer, so always have a backup of your wallets on an external device.

*) Some people tend to recommend getting a 128Gb MicroSD HC (High speed) , at the same time it does work, We do not recommend this solution, as microSD cards tend to get corrupted by the number of overwrites, to ensure the best functionality and security you should use an external HDD/USB storage device to store the chain.

You can start testing and developing new integration with the Bitcoin and OK Tech for your IoT projects.

Welcome to the ROKOS Desktop

Final steps / BTC and OK Clients

a) Go to Menu > Internet and Click on your favorite Cryptocurrency Wallet

This will open the Cryptocurrency wallet and start sync.
(make sure you change the datadir location on the config file of your cryptocurrency before starting it if you are saving the chain on external devices)

*For some Cryptocurrencies the initial sync might take some days, wallets are fully usable after being fully Synchronized.

b) Always remember to make constant backups of your wallets and save them in USB or external media.

Use your wallets in ROKOS to plug HW and mine, Send/Receive, Stake, Share,
become a full node and support your favorite Cryptocurrency network, develop new applications,
etc, the limit is only in your imagination.

Important Security Notice:
*) Remember to create a backup for your Wallets, you can use the wallets to create them and save in different folders on a USB device.
You should ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet, Raspberry Pi Hardware, Raspbian and ROKOS Software are under development hence not responsible for missuses, electrical or compatibility issues that might cause a loss of information. It is as secure as one's ability to take care for it, same as a computer, so always have a backup of your wallets on an external device.

*) Some people tend to recommend getting a 128Gb MicroSD HC (High speed) , at the same time it does work, I do not recommend this solution, as microSD cards tend to get corrupted by the number of overwrites, to ensure the best functionality and security you should use an external HDD/USB storage device to store the chains.

You can start testing and developing new integration with ROKOS and your favorite cryptocurrencies for your IoT projects.

ROKOS Guide from zero! Full steps for New Users
by SwedishBitMiner

---Prepare the MicroSD/MicroSDHC card---

(I did this on a Windows computer, and I dont know what tool to use for Mac to install the iso file Image burner, for this guide you will have to figure out that yourself, if you use Mac)

1. Download and install SD Formatter 4.0 (This is the tool to format the SD card) from:
Windows: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_windows/SDFormatterv4.zip
Mac: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_mac/SDFormatter_4.00B.pkg
(or find it yourself at: https://sdcard.org/downloads)

2. Insert the MicroSD/MicroSDHC card into your PC/Mac. (You will probably need an MicroSD to SD adapter for this).

3. Start SD Formatter 4.0 and click the [Option] button. In there you change from "FORMAT TYPE: QUICK" to "FORMAT TYPE: (FULL)Erase", just leave the "FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT" in OFF and click the [OK] button so start the format. When the card is completely formatted click the [Exit] button to close SD Formatter.

4. Download and install Win32 Disk Imager (This is the iso file Image burner) from:
Windows: http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/files/latest/download

5. Download ROKOS Core (rokosv6magic.zip) and unzip the ISO file (This is the awesome ROKOS Core "Operating System" that we are going to install on the SD card) from:
Download: http://bit.ly/rokos6magicflavors
(or find it yourself at: http://rokos.space

6. Start Win32 Disk Imager, press the "little blue folder" and select the "rokos5.img" file that you did extract. Make sure your SD card is selected in the list to the right and press the [Write] button. It will tell you that it can corrupt the SD card, just press [Yes] to continue the installation, when the installation to the SD card is done press the [Exit] button to close Win32 Disk Imager.

7. Now "Safely remove" your SD card from the computer.

8. Put the MicroSD/MicroSDHC card in your Raspberry Pi 2, and make sure you got an USB Keyboard, Monitor (via HDMI), and and Internet cable connected to the Raspberry Pi 2 before you connect the power cable to your Raspberry Pi 2.

---Installing ROKOS ---
